At its March 5th meeting the council heard reports on various matters, including the city's effort to ban vehicles from the beach, the status of the Classic Street Project, the freeze on short-term rentals, and the moratorium on foredune grading. The city's attorneys also briefed the council on the circuit court's dismissal of a lawsuit filed by Randy Kugler, Will Stone, and Laura Swanson that sought access to a report protected by attorney-client privilege.

The city council issued a proclamation honoring former Mayor James G. Bond, listened to a status report on Tillamook PUD, approved a project manager position, and heard how the state’s sanctuary law applies to the city. The council appointed Linda Kozlowski as council president, and also appointed Shawn Koch and reappointed Kit Keating to the budget committee.
